What is a Khanacross?

A Khanacross is an introductory level single vehicle timed fun motorsport event for over 14 year old competitors.
14yo - 16yo drivers must have competed in at least one Junior Motorkhana before being permitted to compete in a Khanacross.

Multiple sessions are held at each Khanacross event, with each session run over one or two laps, with track variations made between sessions.

Khanacrosses are a race against the clock in an effort to post the fastest time over a closed course.
The emphasis is on driver skill, and vehicle performance, rather than outright speed.

DSMSA Khanacrosses are held on an unsealed track,  @ The Reef & Rainforest Track, the layout of which is altered throughout each event.

The great thing about Khanacross is that you can compete at your own pace for a minimal $$$ spend and still get the full enjoyment of Motorsport.

Essentially Khanacross is open to any production motor vehicle that passes the scrutineers simple safety inspection prior to competition.

While all you need is the family car, many of our members have purchased cheap older cars that allow them to test themselves to the limit
while still observing the basic vehicle safety requirements.
